Cool news. The fine folks at Coagula Curatorial have extended our run at the gallery. Narcolandia will now be up from September 5th - 22nd with a SABADO GIGANTE OPENING on SEPTEMBER 15TH. We will be having special performances, dj's and sopresas that we will be announcing in the coming weeks. Thanks Mat. We will try and make it Coagulossal.

Above is a sample of the work in the show by John Minor. Narcolandia features Los Angeles and San Francisco artists doing their thing on Narco culture, narco corridos and the whole Narcolandia that we find ourselves brushing up against in the news or in real life.

A Meditation...

Rebecca Solnit's apology to Mexico is a meditation on the drug war. It tries to look for the root of the problems, to examine the causes rather than the symptoms and to explain the U.S.' insatiable appetite for every manner of mind altering substances.  It doesn't offer solutions, it doesn't have "the answer" and in that sense it parallels this thing we call Narcolandia.
